Motion to accept minutes from December 2009 by Ray
Lunsford with a second by K Hannon, there was no discussion and minutes were
accepted. Account balance is now $5924.60.
Committee Reports:

Membership: C. Littleton
reported 26 members as of this meeting. He reminded everyone that dues
are now payable for the year.

Training: report by D. King
on the numbers signed up for the regional training event in Moultrie.
Encouraged people on the waiting list to come and show up. All classes
will be at Spencefield. Sign up through GFA.

everyone to look at website and check there for latest postings.

GAFC: reports that the Spring
Conference will be Apr. 11-14. Indemnification Hearing is Thur. Jan 7 at
10:00. And the Legislative Dinner will be Feb. 1, 2010 at the Old Depot.

GSFA: Capt. King reported the
Joint Conference will be Aug. 4-7. Firefighter Recognition Day is Feb. 2
and the GFC will be having an equipment show at Perry on April 29. There
will also be a joint district meeting coming up in Hazelhurst Ga.

SEAFC: Chief Hannon reported
that all organizations are having membership issues. Georgia is being
looked at because of the progress of its Mutual Aid Groups. Jan. 21-23
is Fire Rescue East in Daytona FL

Chief Croft advised there
will be a major exercise involving SWGA during Firefighter Recognition
Day. Anyone interested in participating/observing this in Atlanta, is
welcome and encouraged. Notify Chief croft if you would like to be
involved. Chief Carswell suggested we use the black boxes during this
exercise. (NOTE* the
black box idea will be forwarded to the Training Committee, to devise a
training session for our area. This exercise is a paper/computer/phone
exercise only.)
Good of the Association

We need to take nominations
in the March meeting for an election in May. Chief Craft requested that
last years nominating committee of K, Hannon, R. Lunsford and J. Walters
reform for this year. If you are interested in serving in any position
you can contact one of them or visit the website to express interest or
nominate someone.

Chief Littleton suggested we
stagger positions to help provide continuity of leadership. There will
be a draft of an amendment to the by laws to this end brought to the
March meeting for a vote in the May meeting. Please keep watch on the
web-site for updates on this.

Albany FD is hosting a class
on March 27, 2010 by Bullard on TIC interpretation.
