The City of Marietta, GA will be listing a 1984 Mack Ladder Truck for sale on www.govdeals.com today.  This ladder truck was in service until just a few weeks ago and has 27,000 miles on the odometer.  Please forward to anyone you know who may be interested in this truck.

Tuesday February 7th, 10:00 AM Firefighter Recognition Day State Capital

    After reviewing the plans for the 2011 SOWEGA Legislative Dinner, the SOWEGA Fire Chief’s Association Executive Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the dinner scheduled for Monday, December 9^th in Sylvester.

     With this in mind, the Board has already set the date for the 2012 SOWEGA Legislative Dinner. The Dinner will be Monday, November 12, 2012, in Sylvester. We are hopeful that by scheduling the event ahead of time it will allow for more of our Senators and Representatives, as well as members, to plan for and attend the event.

     We also would like to give a huge “THANKS” to those who were planning to sponsor the dinner, Mr. Bo Edenfield, Mr. Tommy Johnson, Mr. David Forrester and Mr. Gene Oathout. Their continued support of the SOWEGA Chief’s and all Fire Departments throughout our area is greatly appreciated.
